Diesel Black Gold FW2011 Collection @ NY Fashion Week

Diesel Black Gold brings a touch of antique and a military dash to 21st century urban wear.

The collection is all about subtle details, whether it’s in the solidity of its construction or the delicacy of fabrics.

For men, military attire seen in a sepia photograph or discovered in a long-abandoned truck. Disheveled, romantic: a reminder that some soldiers were also poets.

For ladies, this harder edge is tempered with reversible shearling, soft suede and cozy knitwear.

While never taking their eyes of the contemporary calendar, designer Sophia Kokosalaki and her team have infused their latest collection with subtle references to 18th and 19th century.

The result is a collection of tailored yet timeworn garments.

The Collection Was All About Subtle Details. Whether it's in solidity of it's construction or delicacy of fabrics. Diesels Heritage as a pioneer of treatments comes through with aged leather, providing a malleable armour, able to survive centuries and dust- or more likely, another night on the town.
